Prof. Chi Yang is Professor and Director of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Shanghai Ninth People's Hospital, Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, and Director within the National Clinical Research Centre for Oral Diseases. He is the Founder and Inaugural President of the IATMJ. Prof. Yang completed his DDS and MD at SJTU in 1994 and undertook visiting fellowships at UCLA, Massachusetts General Hospital, and the University of Maryland. He is an internationally recognized pioneer in TMJ arthroscopic and endoscopic disc repositioning and suturing techniques, and holds patents for related instrumentation. With over 200 SCI-indexed publications, his research spans TMJ ankylosis classification, TMJ osteoarthritis biomarkers, alloplastic prosthesis development, and the integrated joint-jaw-occlusion treatment paradigm that has become a model for multidisciplinary TMJ care globally.

Prof. Chi Yang

Assoc. Prof. Raymond Wong is Associate Professor and Director of the Discipline of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the National University of Singapore Faculty of Dentistry and Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Lifelong Learning. He holds BDS (Malaya), MDS-OMFS (NUS), PhD (Radboud University Nijmegen), FRACDS, and FAMS qualifications. Prof. Wong served as President of ICOMS 2025 Singapore, is a Councillor and Education Committee member of IAOMS, and AO CMF Regional Affairs Officer. He was past President of the AOMS Singapore and serves as NUHS Cluster Lead for OMFS. With approximately 1,695 citations, his research focuses on patient-specific implants, 3D printing applications, virtual surgical planning, and obstructive sleep apnoea surgery. Prof. Wong's combination of international society leadership and digital surgical innovation makes him a key figure in the IATMJ's Asia-Pacific network.

Assoc. Prof. Raymond Wong

Asst. Prof. Suthin Jinaporntham is Assistant Professor in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Faculty of Dentistry, Khon Kaen University, Thailand. He holds DDS with Second Class Honors and MD with First Class Honors from Khon Kaen University, and earned his Dr. med. and Facharzt für MKG-Chirurgie (Diplomate, German Board of OMFS) in Germany, as well as the Diplomate of the Thai Board of OMFS. He serves as President-Elect of the Thai Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, reflecting his growing national leadership. His research interests encompass head-and-neck oncology with a focus on quality-of-life outcomes, hyperbaric oxygen therapy for osteoradionecrosis, and 3D digital surgery applications. His dual German and Thai board certifications represent a distinctive training pathway that strengthens the IATMJ's connection between European and South-East Asian oral surgery traditions. He is IATMJ's Thailand Regional Representative.

Prof. Firdaus Hariri is Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Malaya, and Professor and Senior Consultant in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Clinical Sciences at UMMC and the University of Malaya Specialist Centre. He holds MBBS and BDS (Malaya), MSc in Molecular Medicine (IMU), and MDS-OMFS with distinction (University of Hong Kong). Prof. Hariri coordinates UMMC's multidisciplinary craniofacial clinic, established in 2015, and leads the Oral Craniofacial Research and Surgical (OCReS) group. He serves as subspecialty coordinator for the Fellowship in Advanced Craniomaxillofacial Surgery and is a member of the International Society for Craniofacial Surgery, SORG, and EACMFS. Prof. Firdaus Hariri

Dr. Dhanni Gustiana is an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Specialist (Sp.BM) at Mayapada Hospital Jakarta Selatan (MHJS) and RS Medika BSD, Indonesia. A graduate of Universitas Gadjah Mada, Dr. Gustiana is a member of PABMI, the Indonesian Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. His clinical practice encompasses the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery with experience in dentoalveolar surgery, trauma management, and pathological conditions of the jaws. Dr. Gustiana represents Indonesia within the IATMJ founding cohort, bringing perspectives from one of the world's largest and most populous nations where access to specialist TMJ care remains a significant clinical challenge. His participation underscores the IATMJ's commitment to building specialist capacity in emerging markets and ensuring that the Association's global standards reach practitioners across South-East Asia.

Dr. Dhanni Gustiana, Sp.BM

Prof. Ajoy Roychoudhury is Professor and Head of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Centre for Dental Education and Research, All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi — India's foremost center for total TMJ replacement. He completed his BDS and MDS at Government Dental College, Bangalore. Prof. Roychoudhury is a Fellow of the National Academy of Medical Sciences, India, a Fellow of Dental Surgery of the Royal College (Glasgow, TC White, 2005), and a Fellow of the Indian Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He has authored approximately 232 publications with over 2,630 citations. His research centers on TMJ ankylose management including the Kaban protocol and transport disc distraction osteogenesis, orthognathic surgery, and mandibular reconstruction. He was awarded a Gold Medal from Indore University in 1988 and serves as IATMJ Vice-President and Asia Chair.

Prof. Richard Su is Clinical Professor and Chief of the Division of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Hong Kong, and lead maxillofacial oncology and microsurgery surgeon at Queen Mary Hospital. He also holds an Honorary Professorship at the Chinese University of Hong Kong in Otorhinolaryngology. Prof. Su trained at Sun Yat-sen University with visiting positions at the University of Lübeck and MD Anderson Cancer Center. He serves on the Education Committee of IAOMS, as Councillor of the International Academy of Oral Oncology, and as AO CMF faculty on the Asia-Pacific Board. He is also Section Editor of the International Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. His research focuses on OMF oncology, microsurgical and computer-assisted 3D-printed reconstruction, and salivary gland disease.

Prof. Richard Su

Prof. Songsong Zhu is the Dean of School of Stomatology, Zhejiang University and former Chair of the Department of Orthognathic and TMJ Surgery at the West China Hospital of Stomatology, Sichuan University, Chengdu, based in the State Key Laboratory of Oral Diseases. He holds a DDS and PhD. He has authored approximately 162 research publications with over 3,640 citations. His research spans alloplastic TMJ prosthesis design, biomimetic TMJ disc replacement using PVA hydrogel, Igf1 regulation of fibrocartilage stem cells, and distraction osteogenesis for TMJ ankylosis. Prof. Zhu's work is supported by multiple grants from the National Natural Science Foundation of China.

Prof. Songsong Zhu

Prof. Bing Fang is Chief Physician, Doctoral Supervisor, and Director of the Orthodontics and Craniofacial Orthodontics and Orthognathic Surgery Center at Shanghai Ninth People's Hospital, Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine. He is an elected member of the Edward H. Angle Society of Orthodontists, one of the most selective professional honors in the field. Prof. Fang has authored over 80 peer-reviewed articles with a focus on orthodontic-orthognathic correction of dentomaxillofacial deformities and the functional integration of orthodontic treatment with TMJ-centred surgical planning. His work at the intersection of orthodontics and maxillofacial surgery has contributed to the development of combined surgical-orthodontic protocols that account for temporomandibular joint function. Prof. Fang is the sole Orthodontics representative in the IATMJ Asia-Pacific founding cohort, underscoring the importance of this discipline in the Association's multidisciplinary approach.

Prof. Bing Fang

Prof. Zhiyuan Zhang is an Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering — only the second CAE member in the oral and maxillofacial surgery specialty — and Distinguished Professor of Shanghai Jiao Tong University. He served as Dean of Shanghai Ninth People's Hospital from 1998 to 2014 and is Honorary Chairman of the Chinese Stomatological Association. Prof. Zhang holds Fellowships from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, the International College of Dentists, and the College of Dental Surgeons of Hong Kong. He serves as Editor-in-Chief of the Shanghai Journal of Stomatology and of China's national OMF surgery textbooks. His research has pioneered double-interventional embolisation for complex vascular malformations and advanced oral cancer induction chemotherapy (TPF protocol) through multicentre clinical trials. He is Honorary Editor-in-Chief of Frontiers of Oral and Maxillofacial Medicine.

Prof. Dr. Zhiyuan Zhang

Prof. Yi Zhang is Chair and Professor of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Peking University School and Hospital of Stomatology and Director of the MDT Center for Rare and Complicated Cases in the Oral and Craniofacial Region. He also serves as Chair of OMFS at Peking University International Hospital. Prof. Zhang holds PhD, MD, and DDS degrees and is Chairman of the Committee of CMF Trauma and Orthognathic Surgery of the Chinese Stomatological Association and a member of the CSA Committee of TMJ Disorders and Occlusion. He has authored 168 first or corresponding-author papers and served as chief editor of five treatises. His research focuses on maxillofacial trauma scoring systems (MFISS), TMJ ankylosis pathogenesis and joint reconstruction, and computer-assisted surgery. He is one of China's foremost authorities on complex craniomaxillofacial trauma management.

Prof. Yi Zhang

Prof. Qing Zhou is Professor in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the School and Hospital of Stomatology, China Medical University, Shenyang, affiliated with the Liaoning Provincial Key Laboratory of Oral Diseases. She holds DDS and PhD degrees and serves as President-elect of the Chinese Society of TMJ. Prof. Zhou's research programme has produced significant contributions in artificial intelligence and deep-learning applications for TMJ diagnostics, including the development of ResNet/CNN-based systems for automatic detection of anterior disc displacement on MRI, using datasets of approximately 9,000 images. Her other research interests include TMJ osteoarthritis pathobiology, low-intensity pulsed ultrasound therapies for subchondral bone protection via the TGF-β1/Smad3 pathway, sialendoscopy, and BMP-4 expression in dental pulp biology. Prof. Zhou's work in AI-driven TMJ imaging directly advances the IATMJ's interdisciplinary mission.

Prof. Qing Zhou

Dr. Teeranut Chaiyasamut is Lecturer in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Faculty of Dentistry, Mahidol University, Bangkok, and also practices at Bangkok Hospital. He holds a DDS from Mahidol University, a Graduate Diploma in Clinical Science in OMFS, and is a Diplomate of the Thai Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. His clinical and research interests include third molar surgery, the effects of dexamethasone on post-surgical sequelae, dental implant surgery, and cone-beam computed tomography imaging of the inferior alveolar canal. Dr. Chaiyasamut's work contributes to the evidence base for pharmacological management of surgical complications and imaging-guided surgical planning. As a faculty member at Mahidol University — one of Thailand's oldest and most respected dental schools — he strengthens the IATMJ's representation among the next generation of South-East Asian oral and maxillofacial surgeons.

Dr. Teeranut Chaiyasamut

Dr. Omar Mohamed Nasim is an OMSB-certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon at Al Nahdha Hospital, Oman. He completed a fellowship in Brazil and is recognized as the first Omani surgeon to specialize in minimally invasive TMJ arthroscopic surgery and 3D virtual surgical planning. His unit delivers comprehensive TMJ care, from conservative management to joint reconstruction, for patients across the region.

Beyond clinical practice, Dr. Nasim is a trainer and Education Committee member for the OMSB residency program, dedicated to shaping future surgeons.
